Jessica Burke

Founding President and Chair of History Committee

Jessica founded Friends of Crocheron & John Golden Park in 2020, in response to the New York City government's budget constraints and to prevent disrepair to Crocheron & John Golden Park during an unprecedented time. Jessica has been working with both NYC Parks and Partnership for Parks to develop the organization and grow the membership base.  Along with community organizing, she is working as the organization's graphic designer and web designer.  Growing up in Bayside, her fondest childhood memories are of PS 41 Field Days on the John Golden ball fields.  Prior to starting Friends of Crocheron & John Golden Park, she worked at non-profit organizations in New York City and St. Louis, working currently as an Executive Assistant.  She obtained a Master's in International Crime and Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and has a background in history, sociology, and computer graphics.  Jessica is a neighborhood resident and a member of NYC Community Board 11 Queens. She frequents Crocheron with her dog and family.

Lindsey Marino

Board Member and Communications Manager

As a Queens native having moved to Bayside at the age of 12, Crocheron Park became a huge staple to Lindsey’s formative years. Those experiences have reminded her not to take parks for granted, as she realizes there is no guarantee something so vital to communities will remain so on its own. Lindsey has a B.A. in English, and after a short time teaching in Queens after graduation, she went on to work in communications that focused on brand identity, P.R., and event coordination. After spending 13 years in Manhattan, she moved to Southampton, where she and her partner tend to their garden and backyard shrubbery. A self-proclaimed Bayside native for life, Lindsey enjoys bringing her love of the outdoors and her marketing background to Friends of Crocheron.
